Chris is a PhD student on the Media and Art Technology Programme (EPSRC) at Queen Mary University of London. His research involves designing mindfulness and contemplative technologies and he is particularly interested in leveraging digital technologies for well-being and perspective taking. Underlying this is an attempt to understand more about the role of contemplative practices as they come to be in a digital age and how practices such as mindfulness meditation might at times be better understood as a form of technology (technic). Chris’s work with mindfulness4change centres on getting tools out there that people can use. This began with his collaboration on the free e-course delivered by email (signup on main page!).
